Histofreezer® Portable Cryosurgical System is a compact, professional cryosurgical system designed to deliver controlled cryotherapy for the treatment of common warts and benign skin lesions in clinical settings. Portable and easy to handle, Histofreezer uses a cryosurgical gas canister in combination with specially designed foam Histofreezer applicators to apply targeted freezing directly to the treatment area.

The system contains a liquefied gas mixture of dimethyl ether, propane and isobutane. During use, evaporation of the cryogen draws heat from the surrounding area, enabling the applicator to reach a working temperature of approximately -55°C to help freeze tissue in a controlled, localised manner.

Histofreezer is intended for use on warts and benign lesions. The manufacturer’s directions for use provide guidance for conditions including common and plantar warts, plane warts, skin tags, seborrhoeic keratosis, molluscum contagiosum, actinic keratosis and lentigo. Always refer to and follow the manufacturer’s instructions before treatment.

Available options include two applicator sizes, supplied as:

Small – 60 x 2mm applicators

Medium – 50 x 5mm applicators

Once saturated, the 2mm applicator remains cold for approximately 90 seconds and the 5mm applicator remains cold for approximately 120 seconds, allowing multiple areas to be treated on the same patient within that time period.

When stored under the conditions specified by the manufacturer, Histofreezer has a shelf life of up to three years, supporting practical stock management for professional environments that require a portable cryotherapy system.
